World Help Center is committed to supporting impactful social projects in developing and emerging countries, with a special focus on Africa. By providing affordable ICT equipment, we empower communities and individuals to harness the benefits of technology. However, this support is not free of charge, and we carefully evaluate and select projects that align with our mission and values.

Selection Criteria
World Help Center carefully selects projects based on several critical factors to ensure the successful implementation of donated ICT equipment. These criteria include:
- Local Infrastructure: Projects must have the necessary infrastructure, including electricity and security, to support the installation and use of computers.
- Local Capacities: The project should have local IT knowledge and training opportunities to ensure the equipment is used effectively.
- Servicing Plan: A detailed servicing plan is required to maintain the ICT equipment over time.
- Impact and Added Value: We assess how the use of IT equipment will add value to the project and its impact on the community.
- Budget: Applicants must have a budget to cover the refurbishing costs of the hardware, as well as transportation and customs duties.
Your Project
To apply for ICT equipment, please complete the Project Application Form. This form will help us understand your project’s objectives, expected outcomes, and specific needs. It is crucial that we can determine the feasibility and sustainability of your project before proceeding.
Please note that collaborations typically start with a minimum of 10 computers.
World Help Center’s Offer
Selected projects are expected to contribute to the refurbishing and transportation costs associated with the donated equipment. However, if a partnering company wishes to sponsor a particular project, they may cover these costs on your behalf. We understand that transportation fees can be challenging for some projects, so World Help Center works to find the most cost-efficient transport solutions for applicants.
Prices and Important Information
You can find detailed information about the available ICT products and their prices in the Product Information Form.
Please be aware that all prices listed are exclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax). However, VAT can be refunded if the project coordinator provides us with the necessary export documentation proving that the goods have left Europe.
While we do not donate hardware free of charge, the refurbishing cost must always be covered. However, we occasionally have grant opportunities from partners that allow us to sponsor certain projects. If you are interested in benefiting from this, please note it in your application, and we will reach out to you if a suitable grant becomes available.
Next Steps: If Your Project Is Accepted
Once your project is selected and you have completed all the necessary import paperwork, we will issue an invoice for the refurbishing and transportation costs. After payment is received, our refurbishing partners will begin preparing the equipment. Your chosen transport company will be able to collect the equipment four weeks after payment.
